GI2019 is official!
I'm delighted to (finally) announce that GI2019 is now official and confirmed. It will be held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2019 at The Ladybird Inn, Bromsgrove and tickets are now on sale below. The format will be different to previous years, as already explained, and largely based on free play. That is we'll have lots of tables and chairs, plus our lovely flag system for finding games/gamers, for all our attendees to use. You can play your own games or take advantage of the games library run by the Great Indoors team.
Due to lack of space, Board Game Hub are the only official exhibitors. Attendees will get the chance to demo our upcoming first publication Tranquility, a co-operative card game by designer James Emmerson and featuring stunning artwork by Tristam Rossin. Designers are most welcome to come along and bring their games to show off to any willing participants. All they need to do is buy a ticket!
And finally, retail support will be provided by my own company: Board Game Hub. The shop is now up and running, though still a work in progress, but we already have lots of lovely games in stock including wonderful games from our indie publishing partners. You can take a look at our online shop now while we'll also offer free collection from The Great Indoors as an option nearer the time to save you postage costs. In the meantime, make sure to use discount code LD0192837465 for 10% off.
- Food and drink will be available to order at The Ladybird. They specialise in traditional pub food and also stock a wide variety drinks including a selection of real ales and cider from local and guest breweries.
- The full address is 2 Finstall Rd, Bromsgrove B60 2DZ. We've hired the restaurant adjoining the Ladybird Inn as the venue which will give us our own space as well as a dedicated bar area.
- There will be another raffle/prize draw, fundraising for the wonderful work by Chrysalis Youth Empowerment Network, with further details to be confirmed.
As always then, watch this space! I hope to see you all in September.
Best wishes, Peter
