The Great Indoors 2017

The Great Indoors 2017 will be held at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre, Redditch on Saturday 29th July 2017 from 09:30 to 21:30. The new venue will allow us to more than double the capacity enjoyed in 2016 and is set in beautiful surroundings on the banks of a large lake. Excitement is building so it's time to share some more specifics about what will be happening on the day.

Open Gaming and Games Library

From the start to the finish (09:30 - 21:30) there will be lots of space for gaming. Want to try something new? There will be lots of games to borrow from the library; Draft games library.docx. There will also be a signal system to enable everyone to easily organise games; simply look for green flags that show games looking for more players or setup your own and entice some opponents.

Playtesting and Demos

Confirmed exhibitors include Medusa Games, Carmik Games, Half Wing Games and Mike Nudd (designer of the award-winning Waggle Dance).

Family Room

A dedicated space, run by our friends at The Board Game Hut, which will cater specifically for family gaming.

Reverse charity auction

We will be auctioning off some fantastic games provided by our sponsors with proceeds going to Chrysalis Youth Empowerment Network. Grab yourself a bargain and help a great cause at the same time!

DellCon voucher raffle

Thanks to our sponsors at Dell House, the UK's No.1 Boardgaming B&B, all attendees will have the chance to purchase raffle tickets to win a fantastic prize: a DellCon weekend for two! This includes a double room for two nights and two tickets for any DellCon up to March 2018 with all meals included and is worth £210.

Organised social games

In the evening, our wonderful volunteers will run social games for large numbers of players.

Excellent facilities; wheelchair and pushchair accessible

Attendees will have access to food and drink from the cafe downstairs and our own private bar. The venue is wheelchair and pushchair accessible; go through the door immediately on your right after entering the Visitor Centre and it is then on the left. The Great Indoors is on Level 2.

The day promises to be a magnificent occasion and we urge you to buy tickets if you have not already done so.
